A recent poll reveals that most American voters want significant changes to government policy before the upcoming midterm elections.

Voters across America feel unhappy with President Donald Trump. A new poll shows that many people dislike his current policies. The survey comes just weeks before the November 3 midterm elections.

Also, 80 percent of adults want significant changes in how the government operates. Many people even hope for a complete overhaul of the country. This sentiment spans across many different groups of people.

Next, Democrats and independent voters express the strongest desire for a new direction. Even many Republican voters want some level of change. Only a small number of people are satisfied with the current path.

As a result, the Republican Party faces a difficult challenge. They hope to keep control of both houses of Congress. This negative mood among voters puts their power at risk.

Meanwhile, the rising cost of living drives voter concerns. About 85 percent of people say the economy matters most to them. Eight out of 10 voters disapprove of the President’s handling of these costs.

Then, the data shows that only one-third of voters view the President favorably. Similar numbers approve of his general job performance. Many voters now prefer to see Democrats take control of Congress.

However, voters care about different topics based on their political leanings. Republicans worry more about crime and immigration. Democrats tend to focus their attention on healthcare issues.

Still, other topics receive less attention from the general public. For example, 35 percent of voters list artificial intelligence as a concern. Transgender issues rank as a priority for only 12 percent of those polled.

Finally, most citizens still believe in the importance of voting. Two-thirds of registered voters say casting a ballot is extremely important. High participation levels remain a priority for both major political parties.
