Our mission

News One USA publishes clear, sourced news and updates from the United States and around the world — politics, business, technology, sports, entertainment and health. Our readers are mainly in the USA and the UK, and our first job is to be accurate, fast and honest about what we know and what we do not yet know.

How we choose stories

We cover stories that matter to our readers: significant public events, official decisions, court and government actions, major business and technology developments, sports results and verified entertainment news. We do not publish rumours as news, and we do not chase stories we cannot source.

Our sourcing standards

  • Every report is based on reliable, identifiable sources: official statements and documents, court and government records, direct quotes from the people involved, and established news agencies and outlets such as AP, Reuters and the BBC.
  • Our articles name their sources in the text and link to them in a Sources section wherever possible, so readers can check the reporting themselves.
  • One story gets one article on News One USA. When a story develops, we update the existing article rather than publishing competing copies of it.
  • Numbers, scores, dates and names are checked against the primary source before publication wherever a primary source exists.

Independence

Editorial decisions at News One USA are made independently of advertisers and commercial partners. Paid or sponsored material, if ever published, will be clearly labelled. We do not accept payment to publish, change or remove news coverage.

Accuracy and headlines

Headlines must reflect what the article actually establishes — no claim in a headline may go further than the reporting beneath it. If a fact is unconfirmed, the article says so plainly instead of presenting it as settled.

Updates

Developing stories are updated in place as verified information arrives. Material changes are reflected in the article text, and significant corrections follow our Corrections Policy.

Questions about our editorial standards can be sent through our Contact page. See also our Fact-Check Policy and Corrections Policy.
