Iran's Foreign Ministry claims the term "Iran conflict" obscures the true aggressors in the ongoing regional war.

Iranian officials recently criticized how news outlets label the ongoing regional war. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei argues that calling it the "Iran conflict" is misleading.

Moreover, Baghaei believes this name helps the true aggressors. He claims it hides the roles of the United States and Israel. The name shifts focus away from those who started the fighting.

Also, the spokesperson cited academic research on this topic. He says specific labels shape public narratives to favor certain nations. This naming strategy ignores the reality of who is being targeted.

Meanwhile, tensions continue to rise in the Middle East. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a new warning recently. They threatened to strike American military bases throughout the region.

Specifically, this threat targets US warships. The IRGC dislikes these ships escorting vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. They view this naval presence as a direct provocation.

Furthermore, the IRGC claims they attacked four ships in the northern Gulf. They allege these vessels participated in illegal oil transfers. They also reported that mines struck three other ships.

However, independent sources have not verified these claims. These reports remain unconfirmed by neutral observers at this time. The situation in the Gulf remains highly volatile.

In addition, the UK Maritime Trade Operations agency provided data. They documented attacks on at least 14 vessels. These incidents occurred between October 8 and October 17.

Finally, the impact on global shipping is clear. Traffic remains 70 percent lower than levels seen before the war. The conflict continues to disrupt vital maritime trade routes.
