Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff survived a shooting in Mumbai on Sunday. Police have detained three suspects in connection with the attack.
Mumbai police are investigating an attack on Bollywood star Tiger Shroff. The 36-year-old actor survived a shooting attempt on Sunday evening. He escaped without any gunshot wounds.
Also, the incident happened as he left a football ground in Juhu. Two men fired multiple shots at his moving car. The bullets struck the front passenger seat area.
Meanwhile, the attack injured two people, including the actor's driver. Police later detained three suspects in Rajasthan on Monday. One of the suspects is a minor.
Next, Maharashtra officials visited the actor to ensure his safety. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met with the star. He promised to stop such acts of violence.
After that, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis labeled the shooting as a serious crime. He vowed that police would make further arrests quickly. He also promised to keep the actor safe.
Still, the film industry remains concerned about the rise in violence. The All Indian Cine Workers Association condemned the attack. They claim gangsters target celebrities to create fear and demand money.
However, police have not confirmed who ordered the shooting. Reports suggest a man linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility in an audio clip. Authorities have not verified this recording yet.
Finally, this event follows other high-profile attacks in Mumbai. Criminals previously targeted the home of Salman Khan. They also killed politician Baba Siddique last year.
As a result, many people now fear a return to past gang violence. The union wants better protection for all film workers. They demand that stars should work without fear of harm.
