The son of a convicted Kenyan cult leader recently rescued his siblings from forced starvation. The cult leader was found guilty of 191 murders.

Dan Mackenzie, the son of cult leader Paul Mackenzie, recently revealed disturbing news. He claims his younger siblings faced forced starvation only two weeks ago.

Also, the 27-year-old reported the situation to local police. Officers acted quickly to rescue eight children, including five of his siblings, from their grandmother's home.

Next, the children received care at a rescue center. Dan explained that the group denied food to the children for nearly three days.

Meanwhile, a court found Paul Mackenzie guilty of murdering 191 people. These victims died from starvation in the Shakahola forest near the Kenyan coast.

Furthermore, the leader ordered his followers to starve themselves and their children. He told them this would help them meet Jesus.

In addition, 28 other leaders faced murder convictions alongside him. Dan admits he initially struggled to believe the terrible allegations against his father.

However, he realized the truth during the court proceedings. He even shared his own painful childhood memories of being forced to fast.

After that, he decided to report his own family members to protect his siblings. He believes this step was necessary to them from harm.

Now, Dan works as a motorcycle taxi driver in Malindi. He supports himself and his siblings while distancing himself from his father's past.

Finally, the court will deliver the formal sentence on November 6. The public hopes this verdict brings some peace to the grieving families.

Still, the leader faces other serious charges. These include terrorism, radicalization, and preventing children from receiving a basic education.
