South Korea is pulling more embassy staff from Ukraine after failing to receive a satisfactory response regarding North Korean prisoners of war.

South Korea plans to remove more diplomats from its embassy in Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this decision on Tuesday.

This move follows a disagreement regarding North Korean prisoners of war. Seoul officials expressed frustration with Kyiv during recent discussions.

Also, the ministry stated that Ukraine failed to provide a constructive response. The South Korean government sought answers through several different communication channels.

Next, spokesperson Park Doo-soon addressed the media regarding the situation. He explained that the current feedback from Ukrainian officials remained insufficient.

However, the government feels it must take firm action now. Officials believe the lack of cooperation justifies reducing their presence in the region.

After that, the ministry confirmed that it will proceed with the withdrawal. They want to ensure the safety and security of their remaining staff.

Meanwhile, the dispute centers on the status of North Korean soldiers captured in the conflict. Seoul maintains a specific stance on how to handle these individuals.

Still, the lack of progress has strained relations between the two nations. Both sides struggle to find common ground on this sensitive issue.

Finally, the South Korean government continues to monitor the situation closely. They remain ready to adjust their diplomatic strategy if circumstances change in the future.
