A brave teacher and an armed parent stopped a teenage gunman at an Oregon elementary school. The attack left four people dead and two others injured.

A teacher fought a teen gunman during a tragic school attack in Oregon. She threw her phone and tackled him to the floor. She struggled to take the shotgun from the 16-year-old suspect.

Meanwhile, a father driving past the school saw the violence. He noticed the shooter entering through a window. The man grabbed his legally owned pistol and ran inside.

Then, the father fired at the suspect multiple times. This action killed the teen and stopped the attack. Police later identified the shooter as a former student.

Also, officials confirmed the shooter carried 44 extra rounds of ammunition. He fired 15 shots inside the classroom. The teacher survived her brave fight with the gunman.

Next, police shared details about the victims. They named five-year-old Rhoam Summer and 25-year-old teacher Meghan Lambert. Two other children also died in the shooting.

However, the families of the other two students chose to keep their names private. Two more people remain in the hospital. One is a teacher and the other is a young student.

After that, the police chief praised the teacher and the father. He said their courage prevented more deaths. The father, Kaylub Giamanco, reportedly does not want public recognition.

Still, his family said he appreciates the community's support. He asks for privacy after the event. President Trump called the man a hero for his quick response.

Finally, investigators continue to search the suspect's home. They still do not know his motive for the attack. They also continue to track his movements before the shooting.
