The UK is sending Typhoon fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. These planes will help defend the kingdom against Houthi drone and missile attacks.

The United Kingdom plans to send fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. These planes will help protect the country from Houthi attacks.

Also, the British Ministry of Defence released a statement on Tuesday. The officials confirmed the Typhoon warplanes have a specific defensive role.

Next, the jets will not conduct offensive strikes against the Houthi group. The military will only fly missions to support Saudi security.

Furthermore, the aircraft will guard Saudi cities and key infrastructure. They aim to stop aerial threats using RAF Typhoon jets.

Additionally, the UK will provide more air-to-air refueling support. This help assists Saudi air operations during the ongoing regional conflict.

Meanwhile, intense fighting continues between the Houthis and the Yemeni government. Saudi Arabia supports the internationally recognized government in this struggle.

Then, the Houthis launched recent missile and drone strikes against the kingdom. They even targeted the main airport located in Riyadh.

As a result, the Saudi-led coalition responded with air strikes. They aimed these attacks at Houthi positions inside Yemen.

However, UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting condemned the Houthi actions. He called the attacks on Saudi Arabia absolutely despicable.

Finally, the secretary noted the danger of escalating regional tensions. The new military support builds upon existing equipment and personnel already in the country.
