A 65-year-old woman has become the second person to die from Ebola in Kenya. Health officials are monitoring several other patients in isolation.

Kenya recently confirmed its second death linked to the current Ebola outbreak. A 65-year-old woman died after being placed in quarantine. She was a relative of the first victim.

Also, health officials are treating seven other patients in isolation. These cases belong to one family group. Authorities report no sign of the virus spreading to the general community.

Meanwhile, the first victim traveled from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He fell ill in September and passed away in Nairobi on October 5. His relative later developed symptoms on October 13.

Next, the current patients include three family members. Health workers and a hospital cleaner are also receiving care. Ebola remains a rare but dangerous viral disease.

After that, the virus spreads through contact with infected fluids. Symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea. It can eventually cause organ failure in many patients.

Furthermore, Kenya faces a constant risk due to its location. The International Rescue Committee works to contain the virus. Officials monitor borders closely to stop new cases from arriving.

Now, Kenya requires enhanced screening for travelers. People arriving from ten high-risk countries must complete digital forms. Officials also check aircraft for public health safety.

Additionally, the government shares messages to increase public awareness. They encourage citizens to report symptoms quickly. Seeking early medical help is vital for safety.

Still, other nations remain on alert. Uganda now restricts transit for people coming from DR Congo. Officials continue to study the virus strains to prevent further spread.

Finally, international agencies monitor the situation across Africa. More than 4,000 people have died since the outbreak began in May. Global teams continue their efforts to stop the disease.
