Meanwhile, the incident occurred as the actor left a football club in the Juhu suburb. He was sitting in a car at the time.
Also, news reports shared video footage of the attack. At least two gunmen fired shots at the passenger side of the moving vehicle.
However, the attackers missed the actor. Police are now investigating the violent event to find those responsible.
As a result, the shooting caused major concern for public safety in India. Targeted attacks against famous people have increased in recent years.
Next, Eknath Shinde, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, spoke about the violence. He promised to stop such criminal behavior immediately.
He visited the actor shortly after the event. He noted that both the star and his mother felt shaken by the ordeal.
