A Houthi missile strike on a Yemeni training camp killed over 50 security recruits. The attack has caused significant casualties and regional tension.

A deadly missile attack hit a security camp in Yemen this week. Local authorities report that over 50 recruits died in the blast. Another 200 people suffered injuries during the assault.

Next, officials identified the location as the al-Alam camp near Ataq city. This site serves as a training hub for police and security personnel. The Houthi group launched three ballistic missiles at the facility.

Also, the leader of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council condemned the event. Rashad al-Alimi called the strike a criminal act. He promised that the government would provide a firm response.

Meanwhile, a Houthi military spokesman claimed they targeted enemy forces. They asserted that Saudi officers operated the training camp. Saudi officials did not provide an immediate comment.

After that, the deputy governor of Shabwa province discussed the aftermath. He noted that local hospitals remain completely overwhelmed. Many victims required transport to other cities for urgent care.

Then, Information Minister Moammar al-Eryani spoke about the tragedy. He labeled the strike a war crime against non-military targets. He stated the group seeks to hide their recent battlefield losses.

However, the conflict continues to escalate across the entire nation. Pro-government forces recently launched an offensive to reclaim territory. Fierce fighting persists in several provinces including Marib and Taiz.

As a result, the death toll continues to rise steadily. Health ministries report high numbers of casualties on both sides. The civil war has devastated the country since 2014.

Finally, international tensions remain extremely high in the region. The Houthis continue to target Saudi infrastructure with drones and missiles. Both sides show few signs of ending the cycle of violence.
