A Houthi missile strike on a training camp in Yemen killed over 50 security recruits. Hundreds more were injured in the attack.

A deadly missile attack hit a security training camp in Yemen. The incident occurred at al-Alam camp near Ataq city. Local officials report that more than 50 security recruits died. At least 200 other people suffered injuries during the blast.

Also, the Saudi-backed Yemeni military claims the Houthis fired three ballistic missiles. These weapons hit the Martyr Ahmed al-Sulaimani Training Centre. Recruits from several regions were training at this facility. It served as a base for police and security forces.

Meanwhile, Rashad al-Alimi leads the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council. He condemned the strike as a criminal act. He promised a firm response against the attackers. The Houthis claimed they targeted Saudi enemy concentrations.

After that, local hospitals struggled to treat the many victims. Officials moved the most serious cases to Aden and Hadramout. Many patients remain in critical condition. The attack represents one of the deadliest events in recent months.

However, the government labeled the strike a war crime. Minister Moammar al-Eryani stated that the training camp was not a military target. He claimed the Houthis staged the attack to hide their recent battlefield losses.

Still, the violence continues across several provinces in Yemen. Pro-government forces recently launched a major offensive to reclaim territory. They fight to regain land near the Red Sea coast. Fierce battles persist in Marib and other key areas.

Next, the conflict has caused massive suffering since 2014. The Houthis took control of the capital city of Sanaa then. A Saudi-led coalition joined the war in 2015 to support the government. Both sides continue to exchange fire regularly.

Finally, the Houthis have launched drones at Saudi airports and oil facilities. Saudi-led air strikes also occur in Houthi-controlled regions. These attacks frequently kill civilians, including women and children. The ongoing war leaves the nation in a state of ruin.
