Yamaha will miss the upcoming MotoGP race in Qatar due to internal travel policies regarding the Middle East.

Yamaha recently pulled its racing team out of the upcoming Qatar MotoGP event. The company cited the current situation in the Middle East as the main reason.

Also, the manufacturer made this announcement shortly after the race in Malaysia on Sunday. Yamaha officials explained that their company-wide travel rules remain in place.

Furthermore, the team currently features two professional riders. These racers include former world champion Fabio Quartararo and Spanish athlete Alex Rins.

Next, the MotoGP Group expressed disappointment regarding the unexpected decision. They noted that the absence of Yamaha will have clear impacts on the sport.

However, the organization stated that they provided many safety assurances to all teams. They believe the event remains safe for everyone involved in the competition.

Meanwhile, MotoGP leaders held talks with local organizers and safety experts. These groups found no valid reasons to cancel or change the planned event.

After that, officials confirmed that the race will proceed as scheduled. It will occur from November 6 to 8 at the Lusail International Circuit.

Still, the other teams on the grid plan to participate in the race. MotoGP leaders thanked these remaining teams for their ongoing commitment to the season.

Finally, the Qatar event serves as one of the last three races this year. Marc Marquez currently leads the championship and could secure his title there.
