A Russian drone strike on a crowded Dnipro train station killed thirteen people. Officials report rising attacks on Ukraine's railway infrastructure.

A Russian jet-powered drone hit a busy platform at the Dnipro train station. Ukrainian officials report that at least thirteen people died in the attack. Ten others suffered injuries, including an eleven-year-old boy.

Also, a train headed for Zaporizhzhia sat at the platform during the strike. The national railway operator confirmed the tragic event. Moscow claims it avoids targeting civilians during these operations.

Next, a separate missile attack struck the city of Chernihiv. This strike killed two fifteen-year-old girls. Regional officials noted that at least eleven other people sustained injuries there.

Meanwhile, local leaders in Dnipro had warned of a high threat level before the attack. Despite these warnings, many people remained on the train platform. Mayor Borys Filatov called the event a major tragedy.

After that, rescue crews shared images showing a damaged platform and a train with broken windows. President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the use of drones against commuter trains. He asked for more sanctions against Russia from global leaders.

Still, the attacks on Ukraine's railway network continue to rise sharply. Data shows that sixty percent of all damaged locomotives occurred this year alone. Attacks on railway facilities have increased significantly since last year.

Furthermore, Russia recently targeted bridges in Kyiv and even hit a metro train. These strikes often disrupt essential travel for many Ukrainian citizens. The infrastructure damage remains a major concern for the entire country.

Finally, Russia continues to deny that it targets civilian areas. The Kremlin insists its strikes only hit military equipment and personnel. However, the rising death toll tells a very different story for those living in Ukraine.
