Activists and journalists report violent assaults by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, leading to calls for an investigation.

Activist Adele Shoko reports a violent encounter in the West Bank. She claims Israeli settlers attacked her and two colleagues. This incident occurred in the village of Umm al-Khair.

Also, Shoko detailed the event on social media. She stated that armed settlers beat her and her companions. The attackers also stole their personal belongings and equipment.

Then, Shoko described the injuries sustained by her group. She noted that journalist Jasper Nathaniel suffered a physical beating. Later, authorities pepper-sprayed him and took him into custody.

Meanwhile, activist Andrey X faced severe physical abuse. Shoko claims he suffered a concussion and lost consciousness several times. She stated that police denied him necessary hospital treatment.

After that, Shoko explained the aftermath for Andrey X. Officials moved him into an ambulance but drove him to a station. He remains in police custody without medical care.

Furthermore, video evidence supports these claims. The footage shows armed men hitting Nathaniel and Andrey X. Later clips show authorities leading Nathaniel away as he describes the assault.

However, this is not an isolated event. Earlier in October, masked settlers attacked farmers near Ramallah. They burned trees and threw stones at people harvesting olives.

As a result, photojournalist Heidi Levine suffered injuries during that earlier attack. Settlers beat and robbed her while she worked. She required hospitalization for her wounds.

Finally, the Washington Post condemned the violence against their reporter. Several U.S. lawmakers now demand a full investigation. They want an end to the rising settler violence in the region.
