Venezuelan opposition figure Maria Corina Machado has returned home after ten months in exile. She recently received the Nobel Peace Prize.

Opposition leader Maria Corina Machado has returned to Venezuela. She spent over ten months living in exile abroad.

She announced her arrival on social media this Sunday. Her post simply stated, "I am here. With you."

Also, opposition leader Edmundo Gonzalez confirmed the news online. He noted that Machado is officially back on Venezuelan soil.

Next, the political group Comando Con Venezuela shared video footage. It showed Machado arriving at a church in Lara.

Meanwhile, supporters gathered to greet the leader. Machado had disappeared from public life after a brief arrest in 2025.

After that, she re-emerged in Norway last December. She won the Nobel Peace Prize for challenging President Nicolas Maduro.

However, the United States military abducted Maduro from Caracas in early 2026. Vice President Delcy Rodriguez then became acting president.

As a result, Rodriguez now leads the nation with support from President Donald Trump. She also signed a major oil deal.

Still, Rodriguez has not called for new elections yet. Many citizens protested in the streets earlier this week to demand them.

Later, Machado visited the White House to present her Nobel medal to Trump. She praised his commitment to Venezuelan freedom.

Finally, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio credited reconciliation talks for her safe return. Hundreds of prisoners have also been freed.
