Representative Ilhan Omar plans to move after federal agents searched her home. She says the raid makes it unsafe for her family to stay.

Representative Ilhan Omar says she must move out of her Washington DC home. She no longer feels safe living there. The congresswoman worries that her address is now public knowledge after a recent federal search.

Also, she fears for her children due to ongoing death threats. She spoke about the raid for the first time in a recent interview. Federal agents searched her home in the early morning hours.

Next, agents from Homeland Security Investigations arrived at her door around 6:00 AM. They pounded on the doors while she and her husband were still sleeping. The couple felt terrified by the sudden commotion.

Then, Omar counted between 15 and 25 agents surrounding her property. She asked for a warrant, and the agents provided one. She noted that the officers acted in a professional manner during the search.

Meanwhile, the agents spent five hours inside the house. They searched each room carefully. The team seized 17 items, including notebooks, cell phones, and an old camera. They also reportedly took her passport and personal computers.

After that, the government confirmed the search was part of an ongoing criminal investigation. Officials have not shared specific accusations against Omar. However, they have issued subpoenas to several members of her family.

Still, Omar calls the raid an abuse of power. She believes the government is using law enforcement to target political enemies. She expressed deep frustration with the entire situation.

Furthermore, former President Barack Obama criticized the investigation. He called the federal probe appalling. Donald Trump has also discussed the raid at a recent rally in Ohio.

Finally, Omar rejects claims that the president had no role in this investigation. She points to his past comments about her citizenship. She believes the probe is an attempt to intimidate her.
