Arsenal travels to the City Ground to play Nottingham Forest this Sunday. Both teams look for points to improve their current league standing.
Arsenal travels to the City Ground this Sunday to face Nottingham Forest. The match kicks off at 4:30pm local time. The Gunners aim to break a scoring drought at this stadium. Both of their previous visits there ended in goalless draws.
Also, Arsenal currently sits in second place in the league table. They trail leaders Manchester City by three points. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest holds 15th place heading into this weekend's contest.
Next, Arsenal enters the game with momentum after a win against Leeds. They also secured a strong victory over Lille in the Champions League. Mikel Arteta says his team learned from a recent loss to Brighton.
However, Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner faces a tough challenge. His team recently lost to Crystal Palace despite an early lead. Forest missed several chances to build their advantage in that match.
After that, the managers shared their thoughts on the upcoming game. Arteta praised the coaching ability of his opponent. He expects a very difficult match at the City Ground.
Then, Glasner noted the incredible work ethic of the Arsenal squad. He highlighted their ability to use strong substitutes from the bench. Statistics currently favor an Arsenal victory on Sunday.
Still, both teams must deal with significant injury concerns. Arsenal will miss William Saliba and Christos Tzolis. Martin Zubimendi remains a doubt for the visiting side.
Finally, Forest deals with injuries to Igor Jesus and Nicolo Savona. Morgan Gibbs-White is also a concern due to a muscle issue. Both managers will finalize their lineups shortly before the match begins.
